  Armored Car

  Less-Than-Truckload (LTL)
A unique feature within this type of operation is a need for bi-directional routing.  Generally LTL companies perform AM deliveries and conversely PM pickups.  Order locations differ day-by-day and therefore the creation of static end points farthest the start point, although simple, isn't nearly as efficient as daily dynamic end point creation.  The identification of order properties coupled with the dispatcher's knowledge of vehicle properties is a must for dispatchers to make proper routing decisions.  Vehicles eligibility to handle orders can depend on geographic proximity, available capacity and/or time availability.  Our LTL Suite of plug-ins for ArcLogistics allows for all these considerations to be handled.    (top)
